Our Values

A word from our owner

My dad and uncle founded Blain's Farm & Fleet over 65 years ago with one simple philosophy: to offer a great selection of quality products at great prices. Today, I continue to embrace the sound, financially responsible business practices I learned from my family: a commitment to the communities Blain's Farm & Fleet serves and to our customers. I stand behind the promise to uphold our guiding principle of treating all associates like family and all customers like neighbors. I look forward to you exploring your career opportunities with us!

Our Core Values

Family Value/Culture

Our value of having a family culture influences us to make sure we are putting our associates first. That’s why we do things such as closing stores on all major holidays so staff can spend time with their families, provide growth opportunities within the company, and promote an environment of diversity and inclusion. The family bond is not easily broken, and neither is ours with our associates. We have numerous success stories of “promotion from within” as well as tenures of 20, 30, even 40 years.

Commitment to our Communities

As a company we are dedicated to giving back in the communities we serve. Blain’s Farm & Fleet has been a member of many communities for decades and every day we are thankful for that opportunity. Reinvesting in the communities we so proudly serve gives all of our associates a reason to be proud of the company they work for while supporting their “neighbors”.

Integrity

We believe that our associates deserve to get honest information about their company. Our CEO uses the phrase "Plain Speak" as an opportunity to ensure all associates can trust that they are delivered honest and to-the-point, information. This honesty and plain speak is perpetuated among peers and to our customers, leading us to be responsible for our choices, behaviors, and actions, and compelling us to follow through on our commitments.

Fiscal Responsibility

Financial stability is fundamental to Blain’s. It gives us the flexibility to make decisions that are right for the business, not to satisfy shareholders or equity holders. Throughout the years, we have never closed a store nor left an existing market. We invest in what counts: our associates, our stores & facilities and the technology to stay competitive. We remain strategic in long-term planning and where, when and how we enter new markets.
