Jun 08, 2016

Have you ever thought of becoming a retail merchandiser? Follow the merchandiser career path to success in retail with the help of Blain’s Farm & Fleet.

What is merchandising?

In retail, merchandising is setting up product displays and products in a way that will interest customers and hopefully make them want to make a purchase. This can include promoting the right products at the right time, organizing products to engage customers and creating product displays that are thoughtful and enticing. As a merchandiser, you want to display products that will encourage customers to buy the product. When the products are displayed in an appealing way that speaks to the customer, the customer is more likely to buy.

Merchandising Jobs at Blain’s Farm & Fleet

At Blain’s Farm & Fleet, our merchandisers work hard to make products visible and easily accessible to our customers. They create product displays in the plan-o-gram room, which are then documented and distributed to the stores. Those plan-o-grams are used to set up merchandise in our stores, working with that specific store’s layout. Our merchandisers work closely with buyers and buyer analysts to determine the most successful way to merchandise our wide variety of products.
