Automotive Service Center

As an auto mechanic in one of our automotive service center locations, you’ll be working on cars every day. At Blain's Farm & Fleet, we give our auto techs the training they need to succeed. You'll get the opportunity to become a certified brake or wheel alignment technician. We can even help you pursue and earn your ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification. Below you'll find the typical career path for our automotive service center associates:

Store Associate

As a store associate, you'll have ample opportunity to learn and train in a variety of departments throughout the store. From tires to pets to clothing, there's a department for everyone to pursue what they love.

You would most likely start out as a cashier/stocker and then move to a specific department (and you may be moved around between departments) or the tire desk. After that may come the chance to move up to department head. After time as a department head, you may have the opportunity to become a management trainee candidate. From there, you can move into the store management career path.

At Blain's Farm & Fleet, there’s a lot of lateral movement before an associate can move up to a management position or get into the training program. They usually work in a few different departments before they have the experience and/or broad knowledge to make a good management trainee candidate. Starting as a store associate can lead to different retail careers.

Store Management

At the store management level, you'll have even more room to grow within the Blain's Farm & Fleet family. You can continue from a management trainee to assistant store manager. You can also pursue positions at Blain Supply Headquarters. With retail careers in human resources, loss prevention, merchandising/buying, accounting and marketing, there's a career path for everyone at Blain Supply, Inc. Below you can see how you'll be provided unlimited advancement opportunities while following a structured retail career path:
